Muslim Women of the Carolinas is a non profit organization dedicated to the unity of the Muslim women and the practice and promotion of Islam. The mission is to bring the diverse Muslim women of Charlotte and the surrounding area together in order to get to know one another and to do good works.
Muslim Women of the Carolinas was founded in 1998 as an organization for local Muslim women to get together, share a meal, and get to know one another. The organization strived to celebrate the diversity of Muslim women in the Charlotte community and unite them through community service and monthly meetings. In the past MWOC has held various conferences with nationally acclaimed speakers, dawah projects, and participated in local community service initiatives including but not limited to: Habitat for Humanities, Susan G Komen Race for the Cure, and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Interfaith Advisory Council.
MWOC will continue to look for engaging ways to bring the diverse Muslim women of Charlotte and the surrounding areas
together in order to get to know one another and do good works.
