Our organization is dedicated to serving our community and promoting a positive image of Islam. From interfaith events, to health fairs, we provide opportunities for our diverse community of women to get together and build bridges.
Some events in the past include
Tea for Two
The Muslim holiday of Eid Al Adha and Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur fell on the same day in 2014. Local Jewish and Muslim women were invited to learn about each other’s holidays and share your traditions while enjoying tea, light refreshments and great company. We had a great turnout and were surprised by the commonalities in our faith traditions.
Race for the Cure
We joined the fight against breast cancer! Annually we form a team to participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Keep an eye out for our pink hijabs!
Muslim Women are Happy!
Now, it’s not often you see happy Muslim women on TV and in the news. Well, we wanted to change that. Enjoy!
